Daam Sakane housing aid: conditions and amounts (MAD 70,000 and 100,000)

Launched in 2024 for the 2024-2028 period, the direct housing aid programme known as “Daam Sakane” supports the purchase of a first new home by Moroccan households, in Morocco and abroad.

Aid amounts

• MAD 100,000 for a new home priced at or below MAD 300,000 including VAT.
• MAD 70,000 for a new home priced between MAD 300,000 and 700,000 including VAT.

Main conditions

• Be a Moroccan national, living in Morocco or abroad.
• Not own a home in Morocco and not have received housing aid before.
• Buy a new home from a developer, within the programme’s price cap.
• Live in the home as a main residence for at least 5 years (specific rules apply to Moroccans abroad).

How is the aid paid?

You apply online on the programme’s official platform. Once eligibility is confirmed, the aid is paid to the notary at signing and deducted from the price. It can be combined with a mortgage, which reduces the amount you need to borrow.

Example financing plan

For a new apartment at MAD 650,000: MAD 70,000 aid, a MAD 50,000 deposit to cover purchase costs, and a loan of about MAD 580,000, i.e. a payment of about MAD 3,200 a month over 25 years at 4.5%. Run your own figures on the mortgage calculator.
